Abidjan Basket Club signs Mike Fofana

Abidjan Basket Club (National 1) signed 24-year old naturalized American forward Mike Fofana (206cm-95kg-1997, college: HSU, agency: One Motive Sports). He played last season at Sporting in Portuguese Liga Betclic. Fofana managed to play in three leagues last year. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he was exposed to basketball on different levels. In 26 Liga Betclic games he had 8.0ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.3apg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Fofana also played 13 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded just 2.6ppg and 2.0rpg. He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals. And finally he recorded 1 game in Basketball Champions League where he averaged 8 points and 1 block.
Fofana has played also professionally in Esgueira. He was also voted to All-GAC Honorable Mention in 2019 and 2020.
His college team won GAC Tournament in 2020.
Fofana graduated from Henderson State University in 2020 and it will be his third season as a professional player.
